CC 22 Condenser Microphone for Studio and Live Applications. This microphone is a cardioid without any switches. The CC 22 uses the classic Pearl large rectangular dual membrane capsule. To the ear the mic sounds very natural and uncoloured which makes it an excellent choice for capturing the nuances and timbre of musical instruments and vocal performances. The sound of the CC 22 is further enhanced by the use of a transformerless preamplifier circuit which is extremely quiet. The circuit requires 48V phantom power. By using the rectangular capsule, the CC 22 achieves a very flat and resonance-free frequency response which extends far into the lower frequencies. For sound engineers who ask for a microphone which works up to at least 25 kHz this is a microphone you will be happy with. CC 22H use the same microphone capsule but have a preamplifier who makes an output of about 15dB higher than conventional microphones. The microphone is finished in black chromium and decorated with a gold plated ring on the body, matching the gold plated capsule.
