Bi-Amplified Monitoring System The Genelec 1032A is a two-way active monitoring system including magnetically shielded drivers, speaker enclosure, multiple power amplifiers and active low signal level crossover. Due to its compact size , this system is ideal for high power near field monitoring. Furthermore, it is well suited to general purpose broadcasting applications, TV control rooms, mobile vans and CD mastering as well as home studios. The unique Directivity Control Waveguide™ (DCW ™) Technology used provides excellent stereo imaging and frequency balance even in difficult acoustic environments. Versatile crossover controls allow for precise matching of the speaker system to different acoustic conditions. The system is very easy to use as only mains power and line level input signal are needed. A rack mount adapter is available so that the amplifier section can be positioned separately from the cabinet when flush mounting. This allows for better & easier amplifier cooling and easier access to the Tone Control DIP switches during in-room system calibration.

Bi-Amplified Monitoring System Genelec introduces its smallest speaker system to date with the new 8020A (Height with Iso-Pod™ 242 mm, Width 151 mm and Depth 142 mm). The system has been designed for monitoring in difficult listening environments, particularly those compromised by lack of space. However, size is no handicap to performance as the 8020A two-way active monitoring system incorporates Genelec's acoustic design innovations to minimise all forms of distortion. The 8020A has a die-cast aluminium Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE™), which features relatively large internal volumes; softly curved edges and outstanding mechanical strength. As a result, the imaging accuracy and low frequency extension with such a compact enclosure are truly astounding. The 8020A also incorporates the advanced Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™), which provides an amazingly smooth on and off axis response; while the long, curved reflex port ends in a wide flare for excellent bass articulation. Each monitor features a 105 mm (4 inch) bass driver along with a 19 mm (3/4 inch) tweeter loaded into a new advanced Genelec Directivity Controlled Waveguide (DCW™). The free field frequency response is 66 Hz to 20 kHz (± 2.5 dB). Maximum peak SPL output per pair with music material is 105 dB at 1 m. Bass and treble are each powered by 20 watt amplifiers. 8020A can be combined with the new 7050B Laminar Spiral Enclosure (LSE™) subwoofer to provide a powerful, bass-managed and wide bandwidth surround sound monitoring system.

The MDE™ (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure™) enclosure has rounded edges and a gently curved front and sides to achieve a very smooth frequency response and superb imaging qualities with minimized cabinet edge diffraction. Like all Genelec 8000 Series monitors, the 8030A also features the advanced Genelec Directivity Control Waveguide™ (DCW™), a revolutionary flow-optimized reflex port design, optimized die-cast aluminium structure with extremely durable semi-matt finish and acoustically optimized metal grilles. Low distortion drivers are driven by dedicated amplifiers after sophisticated filtering. Magnetic shielding, overload protection circuitry and versatile room response controls are standard. The versatile mounting features include integrated rear support points for wall and floor stands plus a further 3/8" thread for mounting on the cabinet base. Every Genelec 8030A monitor comes with an Iso-Pod™(Isolation Positioner/Decoupler™) as standard. The Iso-Pod™ is a clever mounting stand, which allows the system to perform in either the vertical or horizontal position. It also enables the acoustic axis of the monitor to be aimed at the listener, while acoustically and mechanically decoupling the monitor from the surface it is resting on. The sophisticated low level active crossover has versatile controls for matching the monitor to difficult acoustic environments. Dedicated very low distortion amplifiers power the drivers, with overload protection for each driver. The stiff, volume efficient MDE™ (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure™) enclosure and long, curved, flow optimized reflex port combined with low distortion drivers provide solid, clear, low frequencies with a minimum of compression, distortion and port noise artefacts. The gently curved sided and front MDE™ enclosure and advanced Genelec Directivity Control Waveguide™ (DCW™) provide exceptionally smooth on and off axis frequency responses, precise imaging and optimal directivity across the whole audio spectrum.
